June 17th, My Doggies Daycare in Rancho along with
Coto’s Orange County Polo Club hosted a fundraising
benefit for Bethany’s Gait Inc. featuring a polo match
between two Trabuco Canyon teams. The game was
close; the Rose Canyon Cantina & Grill (in white)
team outscored Trabuco Oaks Steakhouse
(in red), the final score was 14 to 12.

There were a variety of spectators at the Bethany
Gait Inc. polo match on June 17th, you could say
everyone had a “doggone” good time. Pictured
left to right are: Diane Krup with Doogle, Pat
Lightfoot holding Buddy, Monica Sikorski
with Meesha and Bevan Cass with Deja.

My Doggies Daycare co-owners: (left) Denise
Thompson and (right) Shari Young sponsored the
Look-A-Like (dogs and their owners) contest at the
O.C. Polo grounds in Coto. Karina Cox with Maia
(a Vizsla) received 1st Place and Monica Sikorski
with Meesha (a Havanese) came in second.

June 5th, Rotary del Sol presented a fundrais-
ing evening event entitled “A Night at the
Sands Hotel”. The Vegas style gaming tables
were setup throughout the spacious Coto
home of Jim Bastian and his wife Elizabeth.
Rotarian Jim Bastian is pictured here
with guests Sandy Sickler, Lisa
Wetzel and Jenny Moore.

The Coto Rotarian evening successfully raised
$10,000 benefiting the Rotary del Sol’s local and
international service projects. Guests were asked to
wear formal attire in the style of the Rat Pack and
the glamorous ladies that adorned them. The high
rollers’ room had guests playing for high stakes,
all for a good-samaritan fundraising cause.

In the spirit of classic Vegas themed fundraising
evening “A Night at the Sands Hotel” they
had live entertainment, the talented duo of
Bryan Cabrera on drums and Carol Roman
on piano direct from the east coast.

Canyon News at the start of their relay.

Curt Stanley, with Adventures in Advertising, pre-
sented a check for $3,060 to Lisa Wanders and
Corina De La Isla, who are with the American
Cancer Society’s Relay For Life organization.
The donation funds were raised from the 3rd
Annual Golf For A Cure Tournament held
June 9th at Tijeras Creek Golf Course.

June 18th, it was a traditional Thanksgiving dinner

plained that the holiday festivities were here
early. Pictured here are: Ruth Vert, Beverly
Hall and Shannon & Carol Cruvan.

Thanksgiving in June, it was a blessing for the
seniors at the Bell Tower Regional Community
Center. An early Thanksgiving dinner lunch-
eon in June was too good to believe! Jerry
Priscaro, Noella Goulet, Bob Mulvey and
Don & Jeanne Jonas all say, “Thank
you PIMCO Foundation for your gen-
erosity and a tasty one at that!”

was chatting on the phone and reading.
